Welcome to RTH Artisan Leather
Located in the heart of Afrika – South, also known as the Z.A.R.
RTH Artisan Leather draws inspiration from the rugged lifestyle of the outdoors men and history of the pioneer country that is my homeland.
Having lived on a farm, on the border of the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, I was immersed in the rugged landscape and inspired by the rich history of it’s people and their pioneer spirit.
Now based in the Eastern Cape and working out of Jeffreys Bay I am finding a whole new chapter of inspiration to fuel my creative fire. The RTH story is deeply rooted in the spirit of the land that is our home.

PASSION FOR LEATHER
Growing up in a culture that was immersed in the history of my settler forefathers and their pioneer spirit, I saw the world as a place where being bold and brave got you the most valuable prize…freedom. Looking at the world through hero stained glasses, I couldn’t help but notice that all my heroes always wore leather, or that leather played a part in conquering new frontiers.
The rich patina and unmistakable smell of old leather—whether it was a jacket, gun holster, or piece of luggage—always carried with it a sense of history, a story, a memory and sometimes even the promise of new adventures.
This sparked a desire in me to be part of this world and create products that would carry their own history and legacy.
